Abstract:A variety of embroidered items are prepared by different communities in Rajasthan: ghagras of the Jat women of Sikar and Jhun-Jhunu; ghagras and a richly embroidered odhni worn by the Meos of Alwar; woollen odhnis of the women of Bikaner; the embroidered clothes of the "Gadualia Lohars" of Chittorgarh; the rich and varied embroideries of the villages of Jaisalmer; and leather embroidery, practised all over Rajasthan.
