Lime Butterfly(Papilio demoleus Linnaeus) is a medium-sized swallowtail with black wings. Its wing span is 80-100 mm. The wings are spotted with various shades of yellow. The abdomen is lemon-yellow with longitudinal black lines. Its habitats range from savannahs, fallow lands and gardens to semi-evergreen and evergreen forests and it is particularly plentiful along streams and river-banks.
