Munnar’s Mystique Mountains Durable Link to this entry

A silver line drawn by Eucalyptus trees behind a small house over a distant green mountain – is nowhere less than a poet’s imagination. The green tea estates combined with silver oak and Eucalyptus bearing a pleasant morning mist exhibited a perfect picture of scenic beauty and natural wealth that can be captured only by eyes, heart and of course by a camera!!

This is “Munnar”, the green heaven below the blue sky. If you feel it hard to get off from your couch in the early morning, then you might be missing an extravagant nature’s play. This beautiful landscape comes into life with the early sunrays in the misty morning and gift us with the beauty that cannot be illustrated by words.

In Munnar clouds act as torch, lighting up the pieces of green land when the light escapes through the clouds.

The light’s play on the temple over Devikulam hill is infact feast for the eyes.

If we stand in between the Lokhart gap and Rock cave, we find a beautiful hill house at a far distance surrounded by green tender tea leaves bearing the golden shine of young sun rays in the early morning.

A silhouette of a lonely dried tree in the Tata tea estate stretching its feet in the tender green and gazing the blue sky look to me as if an old man betrayed by his family remembering his wife and saying “if you were here…”
